When a glass of orange juice tips and stains your favourite piece of furniture or your stained hardwood floor, usually the first thing that will come to your mind is the challenge on how to remove the orange juice stain without removing the wood stain as well.

Contrary to what many believe however, orange juice stain removal from wood stained furniture or floor is really very simple. Just dip a cloth in warm water that was added with liquid soap and rub the stained area. Just repeat the process several times if the stain is older. This simple process will retain the wood stain but will take away the orange juice stains.

Removing an orange juice stain from a carpet though is a different story. At parties and home gatherings, accidents happen, and it is quite common that someone will spill orange juice on the carpet. This will cause a bit of a problem because orange juice stains on a carpet could be permanent if ignored.

The first thing that needs to be done is to blot the orange juice away by using a towel paper. This has to be done immediately after the spill before it’s too late. If it’s possible, turn the carpet inside out so you can flush the stain with cold water from the inside. The stain from the orange juice may quickly attach to the fabric so it is recommended to immediately use hot or warm water and remove the stain as soon as possible, then pour some water with liquid soap lather. Rinse the carpet with water and blot until the residue from the soap is removed. If you still see orange juice stain in the carpet after it dries, you might need to use shampoo for carpet cleaning.

When cleaning any surface, it’s always advisable to start rubbing away the area with a cloth dipped in water. On a wood surface, not much water is necessary because wood stain covering ensures the wood with protection therefore, fresh stains on such a surface can be removed effortlessly.

For carpets, regular cleaning on a day to day basis or at least twice a week is ideal so it will have as little stain as possible. Carpets can be very hard to clean when you allow stains and dusts to collect. When this happens, the only option will be to go to a professional carpet cleaner and spend lots of money.

Orange juice stain removal on wood and furniture surfaces is not a good reason to go and hire professional cleaning service. By acting immediately on the problem, you will be assured that your wood furniture and floors, as well as your carpets will always look new for a long time.
